Phil McGraw
Why? Deal Breakers, Toxic Relationships to the curb and "how's that working
for ya" reality checks!

positive lives.
Dr. Phil has a B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from North Texas State University with a dual
area of emphasis in clinical and behavioral medicine. He is a licensed clinical psychologist
Why? Modern shamanic teachings: intuition through introspection.
Dr. Wayne Dyer is affectionately called the "father of motivation" by his fans. Despite his childhood spent
in orphanages and foster homes, Dr. Dyer has overcome many obstacles to make his dreams come true. Today he spends much of
his time showing others how to do the same.
Robert Kiyosaki
Why? Our thoughts about money shape our lives!
I had two dads - a rich one and a poor one. One dad was highly educated and intelligent; he had a Ph.D.
and had completed four years of under-graduate work in less than two years. He then went to Stanford University, the University
of Chicago, and Northwestern University to do his advanced studies. All on full, financial scholarships.
My other
dad never finished the eighth grade.
Both men were successful in their careers, working hard all their lives. Both
earned substantial incomes.
Yet one dad struggled financially all his life and the other dad would become one of the
richest men in Hawaii.
One died leaving tens of millions of dollars to his family, charities, and his church. The
other left a legacy of unpaid bills.
Both men were strong, charismatic, and influential. Both men offered me advice,
but they did not advise the same things.
Christopher Reeves
Why? Most of us wear our handicap on the inside!
"What I do is based on powers we all have inside us; the ability to endure; the ability to love, to carry
on, to make the best of what we have – and you don’t have to be a ‘Superman’ to do it."
Christopher Reeve was an extraordinary father, a loving husband, a human rights advocate, an avid adventurer,
an environmentalist, an author, a director, and an accomplished pianist. He was also a pilot who had made two solo trips across
the Atlantic, a outdoor enthusiast who skied, sailed, scuba dived, played tennis, and canoed alone into the wilderness.
Pralyzed from a spinal cord injury so severe, that his first lucid thought was that it might be better for
everyone if he were to die.
"When Dana whispered those life-saving words to me, ‘You’re still you. And I love you,’
it meant more to me than just a personal declaration of faith and commitment. In a sense it was an affirmation that marriage
and family stood at the center of everything, and if both were intact, so was your universe."
Christopher defied conventional wisdom. As a result of his courage, determination, international renown,
and his conviction that ‘nothing is impossible,’ Christopher initiated a sea of change.
"When the first Superman movie came out, I gave dozens of interviews to promote it. The most frequent question was: What
is a hero? My answer was that a hero is someone who commits a courageous action without considering the consequences. Now
my definition is completely different. I think a hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure
in spite of overwhelming obstacles. They are the real heroes, and so are the families and friends who have stood by them."

Christine Northrup
Why? Her teachings empowers women's wisdom in the old ways.
-
What would your life be like if you learned how to respect your body as though
it were a precious creation—as valuable as a beloved friend?
-
What if you no longer lived in fear of germs or cancer?
-
What would happen if you truly trusted your body’s messages?
Noted author and visionary Dr. Christiane Northrup asks us to ponder these questions because she finds
that lasting health and wholeness are only possible when we discover and practice behaviors associated with true health and
wholeness. Dr. Northrup believes that the time to listen to our body’s wisdom is now!
“Once you engage your own inner wisdom, you can change or improve your habits of thought, your emotions,
and your behaviors . . . and create a more positive and joyful life experience right away,” Dr. Northrup says. “This
process, when engaged in regularly, heals both your present and your future.”

Mattie Stephanik
Why? The quality of our lives is not measure by the days we live, nothing stopped
him.
Since the age of three, Mattie has been dictating, recording, and writing poetry, short
stories, and essays about many topics, such as grief, nature, love, disability, hope, life, and peace.
What matters to Mattie: "Praying and
playing, and celebrating life every day in some way." Mattie's motto: "Think gently,
speak gently, live gently." Mattie's philosophy: "Remember to play after every storm." How Mattie wants to be remembered: As a "Poet, Peacemaker, and Philosopher Who Played"
Mattie also feels very blessed just to be alive at age 13. Children born with his disease do
not usually live very long. Mattie knows that each day is a gift, and he makes the most of it. He says he gets his strength
from God and his mom, and also from the people that become part of his circle of life. "People tell me I inspire them. And
that inspires me. It's a beautiful circle, and we all go around together, with and for each other. What a gift," says Mattie.
Mattie Transitioned to the other side June 2004. Mattie's Service dog, Micah continues to help
Mattie's Mom.
