We stand on the shoulders of our Teachers!

When we can start where they leave off, learn from their mistakes, their choices what worked and didn’t work, our own progress is so much faster, so much easier, so much more clearer then the path they had to travel.

This website is dedicated to those teachers of my life,

the gifts they brought to me and  to

those whose lives I touch in return

with the greatest honor, respect and commitment

to share those gifts in return when opportunity offers.

How it really works - they dont wanna hear!

I finally got around to watching Commander in Chief.   Wow! Talk about cut to the chase of how things are really done in Washington.  I sudden had a chilling insight of why this incredible show might not make it.

I would not be surprise to learn that there were people in the right positions of government who did not like how blatantly things have been presented and could be resolved on this program.

what is worse (for me) is that the people who could make or break this program, the viewers really do not want to have insights as to how business is done in Washington,  It they accepted these  fictionalized presentations as true representations of day to day operations, they might actually have to try to do something about it.

I see the same analogy with how some people react to Cesar Millan.  I have a difficult time when I see a "dog trainer" putdown Cesar's techniques.

One of the people on the list I moderate about the Dog whisperer made the comment which I intend to steal for all time - "I wonder how many dog lives this disparager has save with HIS own techniques?.

In order to use Cesar Millan's techniques and information successfully.  The owner has to start by looking hard at what patterns and behaviors the owner is doing to evoke, sustain or encourage the unwanted behavior.  Most people would rather go to a dog trainer who will fix the dog and the problem.

Ironically, I will bet that that is what they do for their health - go to have the doctor "fix them" instead of taking responsibility and personal authority to change their behavior, Lifestyle and choices which contributed to getting them in this "unhealthy" situation in the first place.  You see this in counseling when couples go so the Counselor can "fix" the partner.

To walk in the Cesar way means that one has to look unflinchingly into the mirror of the stories, guilt, blame and shame that owners carry to excuse and  justify why it is the DOG who is the problem and not the owner or the family.  It takes, someone who wants to make deep cellular and long lasting changes in patterns and lifestyles.  My experience has shown that most people prefer to stay where they are because it is easy and it works for them.  That probably isnt includ anyone interested in reading this site either.

Easter's Lesson Death Brings Change Brings Rebirth - Boundries

Today is a day special to my traditional Lutheran upbringing.  The Easter rebirth of the Christ.  Reincarnation to the next level of existence.

Today, television is full of historical ideas of what really happened.  I am reminded of a discussion I had 25 years ago at a dinner hosted by the boss who classified himself a born-gain Christian.  What is remembered was when I asked him, "what if it was not true?  What IF it was a discovered to be a fraud that Jesus died on the cross and was reborn, that he was just one of the most skilled magicians ever?"

His face went white, he said," well, I couldn’t be a Christian anymore, my faith would be shattered."

During the exploration of life in my 20's when I chose to step outside the box and look at other religious organizations.  The experiences, discussions and interactions lead me to the discernment between religion and spirituality.

Religion, I found was filled with dogma, rules and laws which seemed to be designed to control and direct the people...Spiritual leaders many times, being granted the right to ignore the rules set for members for what ever reason.

Spirituality, I found was the way you lived your life in connection and awareness to everything.  That awareness included the response-ability for choices and how they impacted others, life or the environment...and personal authority.  To me it is a frightening condition, one I desire to be far aware from , when people cannot move or take actions (or do move and take action) because their pastor, faith leader,` whatever person of authority, directs them to do.

The difference between this fellow who was so dependant on the outside authority dictating how his life should be lived and why, ~and mine ~

For me it doesn’t matter what was/is true or not true from sources like the Bible.  The sources are written by hu-mans with their own agendas, values, ethics and versions of history not all of which match mine (or necessarily, the truth).

I adhere to the principles found with-in, not the dogma espoused.  Therefore my Lutheran upbringing is not in conflict with my new age philosophies, lifestyle, attitudes, or the Rosicrucian (AMORC) scientific teachings, or the Shamanic ceremonies, symbolism or lifestyle I have embraced

When undergoing my studies on the Shamanic path, the leader I was learning from said, quite plainly - "if you give away your personal power to me, I will take it until you don't".

One way you can get a fast pulse check on: Boundaries by Henry Cloud from you could get it from Amazon or Barnes and Noble and the workbook with it. From their website direct at: http://store.cloudtownsendstore.com/index.html (also check out the workbook that goes with in

"Boundaries, by Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend, addresses specific issues that confront today's Christians.  Issues such as:

  • Living a life out of control
  • Having people take advantage of us
  • Having trouble saying no
  • Being disappointed with God because of unanswered prayers
  • and Many more vital issues

A boundary is a personal property line that marks those things for which we are responsible.  In other words, boundaries define who we are and who we are not.

They impact all areas of our lives:

  • Physical boundaries help us determine who may touch us and under what circumstances.
  • Mental boundaries give us the freedom to have our own thoughts and opinions.
  • Emotional boundaries help us deal with our own emotions and disengage from the harmful, manipulative emotions of others.
  • Spiritual boundaries help us to distinguish God's will from our own and give us renewed awe for our Creator.

Having clear boundaries is essential to a healthy, balanced lifestyle, isn't it?  Often, Christians focus so much on being loving and unselfish that they forget their own limits and limitations.  When confronted with their lack of boundaries they ask:

  • Can I set limits and still be a loving person?
  • What are legitimate boundaries?
  • What if someone is upset or hurt by my boundaries?
  • How do I answer someone who wants my time, love, energy, or money?
  • Aren't boundaries selfish?
  • Why do I feel guilty or afraid when I consider setting boundaries?

A Day of Polarized Clarity

I will never forget the phone call from my Dad, the hopelessness and bewilderment in his voice when he said to me that he didn’t know what else to do, that the house was mortgaged to the hilt, all loans taken and gone every resource tapped – and he could not take Mom to the County hospital, could not get any government assistance because they “owned” a house.  (A house with Zero equity left!).

He said that he had done everything he was supposed to – paid his taxes, bought insurance, served his county but nothing was there for him and his chronically ill wife.

I will never forget a few years later, watching my Mom close her check book, saying – “this is it, we have tapped out the last of our insurance”, (they paid $800/month above what the insurance paid for her medications, just to keep her alive) and I don’t know what I am going to do to survive without it.  She died 8 weeks later.

Fortunately I came across a book called The New Health Insurance Solution: How to Get Cheaper, Better Coverage Without a Traditional Employer Plan -- by Paul Zane Pilzer which allowed me to set up my insurance that will allow me  at an incredibly inexpensive monthly cost,  to go to my alternative medicine  for lifestyle medical support, (and is tax deductable), payments are tax deductible, which will pay 100% after my deductible up to a 5 million dollar cap.(Most traditional insurances have much lower caps).

I will never be dependant on an employer or relationship for health care support again! (NO commercial Interest)

If you know Morris Massey, you know that we value imprint between the ages of 10-12 on the realities we live in at that time.  As a child of the Cuban Missile Crisis, the knowledge that tomorrow will never come is almost cellular, is it is for so many other Baby –boomers.

We see how companies like Enron dup investors and retirees with complete indifference (to this day) of the devastation their choices wrought.  Unions continue to fight a losing battle to keep workers enslaved with promises of an increasingly fading life, rather then honoring their responsibility to warn their workers that times are changing and to find new work, new employment.

I have never trusted the government or any other authority such as an employer keeping their commitments.  Rising costs of retaining employees on every level, encourage age discrimination, outsourcing and other cost cutting efforts just to be able to stay in the game and compete.

Yet, as a sole proprietor, I see enough employee sabotage, customer dis-service, and entitlements to not being willing to walk down that road, preferring to rely instead on contractors, who understand without delivery, the Corporation will simply go elsewhere.

One can see the other side of the coin, that without the pressure of Wal-mart on its suppliers to modernize, and economize, that those companies would be out of business, unable to compete anymore.

ILLEGAL Immigration drains resources from those who follow the law.

These people’s efforts and actions would not be legal within their own country, much less here in the US.

Today I had a personal experience of the lawlessness of these people.  Last night, after YEARS of waving a lighted American Flag in my front yard, someone came by and pulled the flagpole out of the ground and cut the line to steal my two flags.  The fact that it was done hours before this walk supporting ILLEGAL immigration is not to be ignored since their pretense is to “support the USA”, those avoiding the kind of knee jerk reaction trigger on the level of a 9/11 event by Legal Citizens.  (And Gee – it worked!)

No one was arrested – not for stealing my flag, not for breaking the law by being in this country.  All the police here, all the fire departments, were placed along the parade route in support of breaking the law.

I am grateful for the support of my two Hispanic neighbor families, one African American family and the gay couple down the road, for bringing their flags out to support me and protest what is happening.  We stand together in spite of the authorities who turn a blind eye because it is the easy thing to do!

To make a difference.
I am a person who cares too deeply.  At 52 years there is a deep part of me that I have never been able to exocise or control well. It is tied to my inner empath.  The intuition that has served so well all these years.  There are many others who have this skill without the emotionality that seems to run through my core of skill. The best I have been able to do with years of personal work is to rechannel this emotionality into e-motion (energy in motion).

Cesar Millan talks about how animals are mirrors for their owners and their (human) relationships.  He also talks about the importance of setting rules, boundries, limitations. Fortunately, Henry Cloud's book on Boundries had laid a wonderful foundation for that concept for me already.

Changing lanes isnt easy.  People dont like when these pieces are put in place.  In todays disposable society, it is easier just to find others to manipulate, bully and control rather then change and engage in relationship with others from win win and mutual benefit and welfare.

Thank heaven that my parents laid the foundation of learning how to be comforable in my own skin, and my own best friend.  it is so much easier to let those people and things which are not in alignment with my choices, priorities and decisions to go their own way, then to fight for understanding acceptance and support.
